Suppliers are defined as parties that are the sources for good and services. They provide products, commodities or service to consumers. Suppliers can be manufacturers, processors, packagers, wholesalers, dealers and merchants who deal in particular products and merchandise such as cleaning chemicals, disinfectant or equipment. Suppliers, whether chemicals or equipment, play a very important role in the supply chain. They make sure that the products or merchandise are readily available to meet product demand and supply of consumers in a particular area in a timely manner too. Suppliers of chemicals and equipment must ensure that products they supply to their customers or consumers will not pose hazards and become a source of cross contamination during their application or usage. As the suppliers play a vital part in the food chain, having a HACCP system in place may address potential risks and prevent users to encounter incidents that can come across when the chemicals or equipment are in use.
